Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-20-14  Shams: Shirov has a great score with 5.b6 and here he makes it look ridiculously easy. He has said that he gave this variation a second look after Karpov adopted it and he found that it was quite a bit more complicated than he had previously realized.

On 20...h6 this line looks like a killer:: 21.f5 gxf5 22.Qxf5+.Kg8 23.Qg6 so Black probably has to play 21...Qd7 as in the game.
