Apr-02-05  agressivechess: absolutely stunning game by shirov.he
completely maules bareev all ends up
Aug-19-06  Zebra: On move 10 black could play ...b4 and win the e-pawn. Obviously Bareev didn't fancy the resulting position, and I wouldn't blame him. But does white have a direct tactical refutation? I recently played this position as white and got myself in a mess.
Aug-19-06  THE pawn: Bareev must have figured out how the whole position would result in (...see ours. I have one hell of a headache, thank god it's a correspondance game!)and threw it away as it was over the board. It turns out in my opinion that b4 equalizes and gains a lot of important space. I'm sure you felt really cramped in your seat after that. I will analyse our game after, it's really an interesting position we've reached.
Aug-20-06  Zebra: <THE pawn: I'm sure you felt really cramped in your seat after that.> Sure I did! But you're right, let's do the analysis when we've finished.
