Nov-01-04  marekg248: Wow, this opening sure doesn't look like closed to me, but really gambit-like. Kramnik wrote in his book, that 19.♖xg7 - which is still an opening phase to him - was believed to be bad in view of 19...♖d3. But he had prepared an excellent reply to that: 20.♖h1!
Jun-14-10  Little Chest Partner: Doesnīt matter how hard Black has tried so far with this line: it is not good for them, itīd only work to surprise an unguarded White opp.

One of its special "features" is that, even if Blackīs the one that sacrifices, is also the one that ends up defending and, most of the times, painfully losing its pawns one by one.

There are more than one open file, so the Black pawn majority doesnīt translate in anything really exploitable.
