chessgames.com: Duly noted, and corrected. Thanks.
Apr-08-03  kostich in time: What am I missing..the final position looks roughly equal..why did Short resign?
Apr-08-03  corbinamman: My best shot is that white can essentially play without an opponent, as black's pieces are paralyzed--the rook is trapped somewhat. He has only 2 safe squares, f6 & f4, and his presence on either of those squares forces the bishop to stay put to prevent knight forks at g6 and d7. The knight can not be dislodged and there is nothing for black pawns to do to change the dynamics of the position. So white will probably use his rook to break down black's vulnerable q-side and move in for the kill.
