Jan-17-09  WhiteRook48: why underpromote to a knight?
Jan-20-09  WhiteRook48: and isn't this kind of game already a draw? Funny that these guys would play on.

Bubo bubo: <WhiteRook48: why underpromote to a knight?> Probably White a) did not like to get an isolated pawn by 45.c8Q Ne3+ 46.fxe3 Rxc8 and b) enjoyed to make use of the rare opportunity to knight a pawn.

I rather wonder whether Black could have done better by playing 37...Nxd6.
