Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-21-09  King.Arthur.Brazil: After 15.Qg3 the idea of 0-0-0 costed so much to Black. Smyslov replied to g5 with 16.Qh3, treating 17.Bxg5 win a P. If then 0-0-0, 17.Nxf7. So 16...Rf8 was forced. The combinative 17.Nxf7, after Kxf7 would be answered by 18.Qxh6 so black's reply Rxf7 was also forced. Upon winning corresponding material, Smyslov explored his mobility with R, also catch a pined BB before, to win a P, using the vantage of R against a N. Then change everyting, reaching a simple winner final.
