Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-27-09  mastermind7994: once white got the rooks on the seventh rank the game was already over
Apr-28-13  suenteus po 147: This was the crucial last round game of the tournament. Botvinnik had lost to Keres earlier in the round, so if Smylsov won here he would finish tied for first with his longtime rival for the prize ceremony. It takes him a long time and lots of maneuvering, but he eventually achieves the final position where Stahlberg is stuck with no good moves.
Nov-03-13  crazyim5: What an exemplary endgame performance by Smyslov!
