Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-12-03  Checkmater7: The sloppiest game I have ever seen
Nov-19-08  chocobonbon: "You ain't seen nothing yet!" (Al Jolson - don't ask who he was.) Although since that post I imagine you've seen quite a bit. Is intricate sloppy? The idea is that someone eventually gets lost & blunders. Here the elder lost to precocity.
Jan-26-16  peterh99: Really interesting how Lehmann sees early that he has to give back the piece to avoid a mating attack. That threat is a theme all through the game.
Jun-13-20  carpovius: Let's assume that Spassky planned mate since 10...Kh8 then the game can continue something like that 11. d3 Ng4 12. dxe4 Qh4 13. h3 Nxf2 14. Qd2 Nxh3+ 15. gxh3 Rxf1+ 16. Kxf1 Bxh3+ 17. Kg1 Nf3+ 18. Kh1 Bf1+ 19. Qh2 Qxh2# Incredible!!
