Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-03-09  drukenknight: 16..Qxp bad 16...Nxp good. Go figure.
Apr-03-09  chillowack: Is 16...Nxe5 really that good after 17.Bd4, drukenknight?

Then if 17...Nd3 18.cd, and how does Black keep from losing material?

Black's mistake was 14...g5?, weakening the kingside. Spassky responded according to the classical rule: "a flank attack should be met by a central advance." The pawn sacrifice this entailed was justified by the weakness of f6.

Apr-04-09  drukenknight: after 17 Bd4 Neg4

Your move.

Apr-08-16  gatu: Why not 9...Qxb2?
Apr-08-16  siggemannen: <gatu>, Na4 traps queen
