Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-07-15  A.T PhoneHome: Hah, I guess after 34.Kg2, White's King wanted to be a part of Alekhine's Gun!

About Aleksandar Matanovic:

He became Grandmaster in 1955 and he had 2500 Elo at his peak, solid by all means! Interesting is that Matanovic, together with Dragutin Sahovic created our ECO Code and big works such as "Chess Informator" and "Encyclopedia of Chess Openings" (1966) were their doing.

Sep-20-20  tigreton: What amazes me the most about this game is that Spassky keeps transferring his slow attack from one file to another, making Black's defence harder and harder. First it seems he is going to break with f5, later you see he is targeting the g-file, but out of the blue he plays g5, Kg2 and fg5! (how many of us beginners would have played Rxg5?) and Black can't defend the h-file. Great Boris!
