Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-07-04  Knight13: 6... Qa5? is silly.

I don't get it. How come black lost? I don't see any defeating moves.

Sep-02-05  aw1988: Strange game, because Qa5 is indeed terrible, but then again: who played the Sveshnikov in Spielmann's time? Maybe it was an experiment, but you can clearly see Black is a tempo behind.
Apr-24-06  zb2cr: Well, Black looks to be losing the exchange no matter what. If 9 ... h6; 10. Nd5 threatens to win the Queen and the Rook for 2 Knights by 11. Nbc7+. If 9 ... Be7 then I think 10 Nd5 also works after 10 ... Nxd5; 11. Bxe7, Ndxe7; 12. Nd6+, Kf8; 13. Qf3. The mate threat looks to win material after 13. ... f6; 14. Qb3!

Improvements? Am I wrong?

Oct-23-08  moonrain: 10. Nd5 does not look effective due to
10 ... O-O.
It's not clear if White really has a decisive advantage.
