Feb-08-05  Poisonpawns: This is a very interesting and tragic game Spraggett is winning the whole way and on move 39.Rh3?? blunders and falls into a forced mate in 5 after Bxg2.39.Rg4 is still winning for white.35.Nf4!is a killer.I think this was part of the canidates tournament selection.Anyone who knows about this tournament pls post thx.
Feb-09-05  euripides: <poinon> As far as I remember, Vaganian, Andrei Sokolov and Yusupov qualified. Timman and Tal tied for fourth and Timman went through after the play-off was drawn. Sokolov won the resulting knock-out matches and then went down quite heavily against Karpov.
