An Englishman: Good Evening: This, the earliest Modern Benoni, shows a fair amount of sophistication, especially from the minor master Tinsley, who puts up a good fight for a while. Steinitz's 8.Nf4 was not good, but aside from that, his imagination is in excellent form. His redeployment on the K-side shows a keen awareness of the tangle he had put himself in, and how to get out of it.
Jan-28-06  Peeps: How do u move
Oct-04-08  Akuni: Wow, he's making fun of the Benoni long before it was ever fashionable to.

Pity Tinsley didn't come up with b5, then we'd ahve seen some real fireworks.

Jun-28-09  WhiteRook48: If only he'd known that Black would score a lot of wins with 2...c5
