black is clearly winning but why a draw?

40...Qf4 or 40...Rf5 will give Mikhail some problems to solve.

If you are looking for games played by me, you can check There is a special game, I can recommend to study, a french variation, Jiri Novotny-Jörgen Nilsson a CC- game from early 90:s also presented in theory books, (Now I look like Lifemaster himself! Sorry, Goldsby!) My ICCF rating is 2528, and the title is IM 1994, SIM or SM 2001, something like that. Lifemaster hopes he will be a GM, I do´nt give a @#$% for that. I just want to play...chess.
