Sep-07-08  parisattack: I find it interesting to compare how various GMs have worked the English - Flohr, Botvinnik, Stein, Tal, Karpov.

Botvinnik locked on a target and drilled, Flohr and Karpov milked small advantages in space or position while Tal and Stein used it to attack - typically by opening lines for their pieces as quickly as possible.
