"Here we see not a Tal of furious, volcanic sacrificial eruptions, but a master strategist.

His Bishop paralyses Black's queen's side; his rooks bear on the isolated backward K.P. forcing Black's rooks to defend instead of attack.

One could liken the new Tal to the mature Vladimir Horowitz who plays Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart with exquisite musicianship as against his solid days of virtuoso Liszt and Rachmaninoff."

Paul Hugo Little. 'Last Round Thrills' CHESS November 1975.

Nov-17-22  generror: Apparently Tal played this game after drinking the whole night through with Balashov. Both were tied before this last round, and Balashov went on to draw in 10 moves (Ribli vs Balashov, 1973) while Tal didn't seem to suffer any inconveniences :)
