Sneaky: This game makes absolutely no sense! White blunders a piece with ...h3, and then Black, instead of playing QxN, resigns???

Benzol: Perhaps it's a partial duplicate of
Tal vs Petrosian, 1976
Feb-02-05  GBKnight: My source has this game as agreed drawn after black's 16th move. Benzol's reference is to a different game, another short draw from the same opening variation.

  InspiredByMorphy: <Sneaky> Agreed.
Sep-03-05  chesskoff: I'm noticing some games that are either incomplete, incorrect, or duplicates of previous games. For example, Bobby Fischer's rating has gone up by a tenth of a percent even though he hasn't played any new games...
May-29-06  KingG: So, does anyone know what the correct score should be?
Jul-09-06  Confuse: curious also is how many times petrosian loses to tal with the french opening =P i just noticed this going through some games in the database... maybe petrosian couldnt bear a victory with such an opening? ; )
Jul-09-06  Confuse: nevermind, i just saw the game and yeah u guys are right this is strange : P
Jul-09-06  CapablancaFan: <chessgames.com> The score is incorrect here. Should'nt it be 0-1?

Honza Cervenka: <CapablancaFan> The result is not correct here as <GBKnight> had already pointed out. The draw was agreed after 16...Qc5 or maybe 17.Nb3. 17.h3 certainly did not happen.
Jul-09-06  Kangaroo: Tal vs Petrosian, 1976 has a correct score
