  perfidious: Vadasz improves Black's play with 13....Nxc3, stronger than 13....Nxb3 played in the same event (I Nei vs Saidy, 1973) four years previous!

Tal must have gotten quite a jolt in this last-round game, played when he had clinched first, on seeing 17....Qa5.
