  GrahamClayton: Browne was under severe time pressure due to his insipid opening play, and allowed an endgame where Timman created a winning passed pawn on the a-file.

  perfidious: Not quite sure I follow; Browne's tendencies to zeitnot were well known to even ordinary masters like me, so it hardly makes sense to attribute his time shortage to his opening play.
