Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-21-07  RookFile: Gurevich always made it a point to beat young stars like Waitkin, or Bobby Seltzer, or whomever. His point of view was that he was the real young talent in America at the time. Indeed, Gurevich reached the GM level and won the world junior championship. Those other guys did not.
Nov-27-12  Jim Bartle: Gurevich: I didn't do much in that game, though. He just sacked all his pieces and thought he was mating me. But he was wrong. Then I won.
Nov-27-12  Strongest Force: I can only think of two players who were great with the Kan: I.G. and Tal. They were the ones who left a lasting impression & helped me to pick my all-time favorite opening.
