Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-01-05  Boomie: This is so embarrassing. One of my games in here and it's a loss. Looks like white, unfamiliar with black's opening, played reasonably well up to lucky move 13. Then he lost the thread of the game and wandered planless up to his inevitable demise.

Sneaky: You played somebody named "Chess" ?!
Sep-01-05  Boomie: <Sneaky> They made me do it.
Sep-24-05  Averageguy: This is a neat mate for black after 36.Rxe6 Bf1+ 37.Kg/h1 Bh3#
Aug-02-06  Rocafella: What was your rating around this time, <Boomie>?
Aug-02-06  Boomie: <Rocafella> Although the rating is given on the score sheet as 1847, I was playing in the B class. This might be my rating after the tournament. Despite this sorry example, I managed to tie for first in class B. I remember my old pal Yasser at the awards ceremony telling me "Laugh all the way to the bank."
Aug-02-06  Rocafella: Hehe thanks!<Boomie>. I enjoyed reading your profile, and it's a shame you can't submit some of your wins to to!
Sep-05-06  Jack Kerouac: Hey Boomie-
Ever play shuffleboard at Big Time Brewery? I do when I'm in Seattle.
Sep-05-06  Tenderfoot: <Boomie> Great game, I never would've seen that mate.

alexmagnus: Why was M. Chess changed to MChess(Computer)? Did MChess (computer) even exist in 1975?
Mar-19-09  Open Defence: things that make yer go Boom!
Mar-19-09  Boomie: <>

M. Chess is obviously not a computer. He's one of the Chess brothers from Lincoln, Nebraska.

technical draw: I remember the Chess brothers from rock and roll 45rpm fame. They signed the great Muddy Waters but failed to sign the even greater Elvis. Here's a nice bio:

technical draw: As an added oddity, Leonard Chess had a son, his name? Marshall Chess-You can't make this up.
