Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-18-06  Rama: Looks like Yorgy lost on time, but Qd4 certainly does him in.

Evans' 23. Nf4 ..., invites 23. ... Nxc5, 24. Nh5 gxh5, 25. Qg5+ ..., etc, with a quick and easy draw.

But Tringov delays the capture one move, and Evans gets the chance for a Rook-lift with 26. Re3! ..., which gives him tremendous power against the enemy King after 29. gxh5 ....

In the final position, if black found time to defend himself, the Q-side pawns would be formidable.

Honza Cervenka: <Rama: Looks like Yorgy lost on time, but Qd4 certainly does him in.> I don't know but 37.Bxg6 fxg6 38.Qd4 Qd7 39.Re1 with next Rge3 and Re7 looks like a quite sufficient reason for resignation.
