Jul-16-04  Leviathan: I suppose that the underpromotion wasn't absolutely necessary... :)
Jan-02-05  LIFE Master AJ: Vey nice ... endgames are not properly appreciated by the average player.
Jan-02-05  euripides: Very instructive. This pawn race would be a draw with either RvR or BvN, provided that Black could get his king in front of the pawn. With R+B it seems White may have enough firepower to force the defending king out of the way of the pawn.
Jan-07-05  LIFE Master AJ: Malakov has played other games ... that are a lot prettier. (But many of these have NOT been posted on this web site.)
Jun-24-05  aw1988: Would 46...f4!? be an idea?
Jun-24-05  Shams: <aw1988> yes, but a very bad one -- 47.Rd8# ;)
Jun-24-05  aw1988: Oops.
Jan-05-09  WhiteRook48: so was e1B+ just to get that cool looking underpromotion?
