Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-23-07  Jaymthetactician: I don't like 8...Na5?! as even though ...Nc4 was an obvious plan black at this point should work on improving there position instead of spend tempo to gain a bishop pair, sure the knight is strong on c4 as it provokes the weakening b3 leaving c2 backwards and staking out the e3 square but this can be done at a later time. And waiting until move 15 to move the kings bishop and black may have handed white an edge, not the better coordination of the white pieces by move 15. But. 1.Kh1? hands black a tempo, better I think was g4, provoking black to weaken there positon by moving to ...h6 or ...g6 blacks c-file pressure and neutralising the center with ...d6 and ...e6 did count for something. The end does look drawish though, even with pawns on both wings and better coordination from white minus the king in the corner, after 29...g6 30.Rd8+,Rxd8 31.Rxd8+, Kg7 32.Bxe5,Rxe5 is =
