  fredthebear: White gets unnecessarily creative in the opening and lives to tell about it.

34.Bd5 is the shocking move that causes a sequences of heavy piece exchanges leading to a drawish bishops of opposite colors endgame. (White must play 37.QxQg6+ as taking the Black rook instead allows 37...Qc2#.)

However, it seems Black can accept the White bishop offer w/34...exBd5 and do just as well or better.
