  fredthebear: White controls the open lines on either side of the uncastled Black king. 22...Na4 has designs on a forking Nc3, but 23.Bb4 prevents that and comes with it's own threat. In the final position, White is fixin' to play Ba5 and pin the Black queen to her king. QxBa5 is a no-no because she MUST defend the back rank against Qb8#. Nb6 or a5 just lose the unit, since White continues with the Ba5 pin regardless.
