Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-25-08  Gilmoy: Black normally beats the Orangutan just by making (lots of!) simple developing moves -- the inevitable Nc6 will win one tempo. This game is singleton for 7.Qb3, which drops a 2nd tempo, as White eventually plays 11.Qc2 anyways.

Black plays some curious moves. Re8-d8-e8 looks like shifting priorities -- giving White some rope? Maybe 13..Rd8 discourages 14.Bb5? 15..Nb6 is either very patient or very timid -- it does shield b6, control a4, and exert long-term pressure on c4.

Nice finish -- Black must have planned it with 19..g6. 19..h6 looks "safe" enough, but then White defends f3 and it looks drawish. To win a game, sometimes you must boldly unbalance the position.
