  chessgames.com: You get extra credit if you noticed that the tempting move 45. Rxd4+ Rxd4 46. Qa7+ does not work because of 46...Ke8!! where White has nothing better than to pursue a perpetual. (47. Qxd4?? Qh1+ etc.)

  Sneaky: I guess I get not credit... I thought that 45. Rxd4+ was the move! =(

May-28-07  psmith: apparently it was a Monday puzzle (as July 22, 2002 was a Monday). In which case I'd say Monday has gotten easier. (Not that this would have been hard, exactly.)
