Jan-07-03  refutor: original analysis in NCO...the line they continue after this is 7.Be2 Nxe4 8.dxc5 Nxc5 9.Qd4 d6 10.f4 Ng6 10.Qxg7 Bf5 if i was ever on the black side of this line, i'd prefer ionescu's 7. ... Be7 to this wild line that dr. nunn recommends

GrahamClayton: 20. ♕d1 ♕g5 and the Black queen guards the h5-square, so 20. ♖e5 stops 20...♕g5. Ionescu hoped that the pin with 22...♗g4 would stop the White attack, but White cleverly breaks the pin on the f3-rook.
