patzer2: Polgar's 38. Nd5! is a strong move that appears to salvage winning chances in an otherwise lost position.

Notice that if Svidler now plays 38...Nxd5??, he loses after 39. Qe6+! Rf7 (not 40...Kf1?? 41. Rh8#) 40. Qxc8+ Rf8 41. Qe6+ Rf7 42. Rhf1 Nf6 43. Rd8+ etc.

patzer2: I'm wondering if perhaps Svidler here didn't contribute to his own demise by playing 37...a3?! and forcing Polgar to make the best possible move with 38. Nd5!

I'm thinking better perhaps for Black was 37...Rc5! when the pawn at a3 now appears to be poisoned.
