  Marius: does 32.Rb8 Qxb8 33.Qxf7+ Kh8 34.Qxe7 with the threat of Rf8+ work ?
Nov-22-04  dac1990: More senseless posting. I recommend that we all just add <lznakoff> to our ignore lists.
Nov-22-04  showmethemoney: I would like to know why chessgames.com is so quick to delete a registered user's post. A few days ago acirce was allowed to post an obnoxious, arrogant comment. I responded to it in a similar manner, and my post was immediately removed. I enjoy this site, but unfortunately many of the kibitzers here (i.e. acirce, GM Ray Keene, etc.) are arrogant, belittling, and condescending. They are allowed to be, however, because chessgames.com will always cater to them.

Read this post while you can, I'm sure it will be deleted immediately because of the "personal attacks against other users" it contains.

Nov-22-04  Leviathan: <showmethemoney> Well, I don't know if acirce did post something offensive (even if I doubt it), but I am sure that GM Keene has never been <arrogant, belittling, and condescending>.

Please bring some proofs before making absurd accusations.

kevin86: The threat of ♕xh6#,is embarrassing to say the least.} ♗y the way,the hopping of white's knight, ending at a8-is amusing to say the least.

It's ironic that a person with the handle-showmethemoney-can complain about the arrogance of others.

  tpstar: <Marius> 32. Rb8! is a spirited try which works great in your line 32 ... Qxb8?! 33. Qxf7+, but Black has better defense with 32 ... Bd8 33. Rd1 Rd6 holding everything for now (34. Rxd8!? Qxd8 preventing 35. Qg5+). Notice how White chose 37. Qf4! winning far more quickly than 37. Rxf7 or 37. Qxf7+.

<showmethemoney> It is unfortunate that you are so bothered by other posters. If you put them on your ignore list, they'll never bother you again. And I remember your exact comment about <acirce> which deserved to be deleted.

Nov-22-04  Larsker: < I responded to it in a similar manner, and my post was immediately removed.> That happens to half of my comments. It's a way of life, really.

As long as cg.com doesn't start removing kubba's messages, I'm not too worried.

tpstar: <Marius> Wait, my line doesn't work, because after 32. Rb8! Bd8 33. Rd1 Rd6 White plays 34. Rxd6 Qxd6 35. Qg5+ winning the Bishop. So yes, unless somebody else sees a better defense, your line is a significant improvement over the game continuation. Good job!

Marius: you're also responsible of the improvement because i didn't envisage 32. ...Bd8

chessgames.com: <I would like to know why chessgames.com is so quick to delete a registered user's post...my post was immediately removed.> I don't know about that one, it must have been another admin who removed it, but if I had to guess I would speculate you broke rule #3, and 90% of those who break rule #3 do so by name-calling. Whether a post is arrogant, obnoxious, or condescending is of no concern to us. Like tpstar says, if you can't take them anymore, ignore them. I assure you that no kibitzer receives any special treatment in this respect, not even GM Keene.

Regarding Iznakoff's message, we normally wouldn't take action over a little bit of harmless gibberish, but this same individual had posted no less than 80 messages over the weekend which were unintelligible nonsense. I have no idea what he or she is trying to prove.

  patzer2: Although 23. f4!? may look like an obvious "deflection" to win a pawn, it is actually quite subtle. If Black responds 23...Rh5!?, then White has only a slight positional advantage after 24. Be2 Qe7 25. Bxh5 Qxe3+ 26. Kh1 Bf5 27. Qc1 Qxc1 28. Rbxc1 gxh5 29. Nxd5 Bd3 30. Rfd1 c4 = to .

I enjoy this site, but unfortunately many of the kibitzers here (i.e. acirce...) Acirce is allowed to do that everyday! Anyways GM Keene has never been obnoxious and arrogant at least to my knowledge. Yet I agree with you about acirce.

Nov-22-04  ragnar0C: miroslaw needs to learns chess basics, how do u not see that f6 is gonna be mate???
Nov-22-04  acirce: Cool, I've got a fan!
Dec-18-04  ragnar0C: acirce are u a GM or high ranked, i see you EVERYWHERE!!!
Dec-18-04  acirce: Perhaps I'd be higher rated otherwise.
Dec-27-04  ragnar0C: i dont get the pun :|
