  tpstar: 7 ... Ke6 offers more resistance, as 7 ... Ke8? 8. Bxd5 regains the piece with an immediate mate threat. After 8 ... Nd7?! (8 ... Qd7) 9. Bf7+ Kd7 10. Qd3+ Black could limit the damage to only losing a piece with 10 ... Nd5 11. Qxd5+ Ke7 12. Qxd8+ Kxd8 with an easy win for White.

Infohunter: Just recently I played this exact game from the White side, only difference being that Black resigned a move sooner in that game than in the one on this page.

FSR: Wow - Mellon managed to lose a move faster than in the previous year's debacle, S Tkeshelashvili vs P Mellon, 1991.

perfidious: <FSR>: We could term this gamelet progress, in its way, as the losing player got that extra bit of rest.

Just call the black player Blind Mellon Chitlin.
