Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-21-02  AgentRgent: 3...Bxg1 4. Rxg1 exf4 with Qh4+ to follow would give white a much harder time.
Nov-21-02  drukenknight: actually black comes through the opening looking in pretty fine shape, there is a trap that white sets up on the 11th move that is related to all those traps against the B on f5 in Philidors.

But after that what about:

Nov-22-02  AgentRgent: Well DK, I think we'll just have to disagree on Blacks position after the opening.. I see Black handing out tempi like candy on Halloween. White gets Time and Position, Black get's a rock! :-)
Nov-22-02  drukenknight: so he handed out tempi, when all is said and done what is to show?

does white have more material?

does he have a positional advantage?

will black run out of space/time?

So what could it possibly have mattered what happened before that?

Nov-22-02  AgentRgent: Well black obviously runs out of something since he gets Crushed! Tempo leads to Position leads to Material.
Nov-22-02  drukenknight: what good is all this talk if you dont have a response to 14...Bxf3?
Dec-03-02  drukenknight: agent do you have any final thoughts son this?

Sneaky: I think White, by move 14, has a slight edge in development and space. However, it's hard for me to come up with a good line after 14...Bxf3. I'm thinking 14. ...Bxf3 15. Qxf3 (obviously) Nxd3 16. Qxf4 O-O-O, and Black seems fine to me.

Sneaky: Agent, yes Black wastes a lot of time, but look at White's manuveur with his King's bishop: Bf1-c4-d3-c4-b5 !! 4 out of the first 15 moves all with that crazy cleric.
Dec-04-02  drukenknight: I think he would take with the B 15 Bxd3 maybe hit the Q w/ 16...Rf8

I think white loses time w/ 8 Bd3 maybe 8 d5 Bg4 9 Bb5+
