An Englishman: Good Evening: Only want to luxuriate in the luxury of a Rook v. 5 pawns game.

Honza Cervenka: 54.Bd4 could hold white in the game.
Jan-06-22  Brenin: Timely pun, a year after Stop the Steal.
Jan-06-22  nalinw: Has it been only one year since then?

I suppose credit for the pun proposal and credit for making it today ..... separately?

Reminds me of Anand vs Carlsen, 2014 - game of the day on Easter Sunday!

Jan-06-22  TheaN: On move 32 Mason opts to go a rook down for the only 5(!) pawns on the board. <32....Nxg3 33.hxg3 Qxg3+ 34.Kf1 Qxf4> and here White's on crossroads.

The played 35.Bxf8? is tempting, but 35....Bf5! ∓ is actually very good for Black. Had White 'simply' played <35.Qxb1 => he probably could have saved this, but it would not have given us the awesome end that we have now.

  Messiah: Terrible pun.
Jan-06-22  erniecohen: Too soon on the pun.
