May-29-05  The 3 Gambiteers: What a bizzare game
Jun-01-05  woodenbishop: This doesn't look like any chess I'm familiar with. Still, it is an interesting game full of sharp tactics.
Jun-21-05  raydot: My great-grandparents were from Riga, in Latvia. Go Riga, go Riga, go Riga...
Jul-21-05  TigerPawns: yeah... tal came from riga too. maybe it's something in the water up there.
Dec-21-08  jeeky1996: In case you guys were wondering, the vienna gambit is not an actual gambit. It is something like the Q's Gambit, in which accepting the gambit will "backfire".

If Black plays 3...exf4?, then White responds with 4.e5! , forcing the knight to go back home, and lagging the development of black's pieces.

Also, in my opinion, 5.Qf3 is a little rare, but playable. 5.d3 and 5.Nf3 are alternatives.

If after 5.d3, Black plays 5...Qh4+?, then he falls into the Wurzburger trap. I forgot why it is a trap though...

May-02-09  YoungEd: Those Rigans can play chess if you Lett them.
