  whiteshark: At least this is <not> a game from the <First Baltic Chess Congress - Major> where <Paul Kerkovius> wasn't playing. / Baltische Schachblätter #7, crosstable on p. 383

= = =

Also on Mar-08-12 <Stonehenge> posted on Karl Behting that according to NicBase, White was <Robert Behting> (Roberts Betins).

We probably need a good original source here.

Baltische Schachblatter no.8, pp.600-601 agrees with <NicBase> and <Stonehenge>.

White pieces were indeed played by <Robert Behting>.

Time to send in a correction slip.

I found a good original source now. According to the <Baltische Schachblatter no.8, pp.600-601>, Behting was indeed white.

In addition, now we know the date- May 24, 1899 on the Gregorian calendar.

Thanks so much for the help you have given- especially on Baltic chess history.
