Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-20-02  mdorothy: Does 19. Bf7 have any real advantages, or is it just an attempt to let Morphy screw up? Maurian wins in a couple other odds games against Morphy too, shouldn't he try something along the lines of freeing his other rook instead of wasting two moves? I don't think it is possible to hold the pawn.
Jan-27-06  MorphyMatt: 4... Qh4 is very un-Morphy
Dec-28-06  MarkN: i guess Bf7 threatens Be8 on the next move... obviously not too hard to handle
Dec-31-08  WhiteRook48: very un-Morphy-ish. What's Morphy doing? Bringing the Queen out early??
Mar-21-09  WhiteRook48: stop giving so much odds already!
Oct-21-11  Mozart72: Maurian has a nice final material advantage value: 20.6 against Morphy: 13.6, and the latter lost.
Jan-29-16  juanhernandez: Make a heart which never breaks,
Aug-05-19  Chesgambit: Morphy odd game

gezafan: A rook is too much even for Morphy.
