  GrahamClayton: If Colle had played 16...♕xc3, would Yates have avoided the exchange of Queens as he did in the actual game? 16...♕xc3 17. ♕xc3 ♖xc3 18. ♖xe7, while regaining a pawn, seems to lessen Yates' chances of a direct attack on Colle's king.
