Oct-10-03  Helloween: Pretty mate tactic, although the theme is seen very often with the Knight on b5 and Queen on a4. 1.d4 d5 2.Bd2!? this happens to be the only game in this database with this opening. I am guessing the player of the White pieces was a much better player than Black, evidenced by the novel opening and quick mate.

FSR: A bizarre game. White's piece sac was unsound. He would have been a piece down after the normal 9...axb5 10.Bxb5+ Bd7. Instead, Black's 9...Nxc4??? allowed not one, but two different mates in one (10.Nxc7# was equally good).

  sea7kenp: If a Double-Check causes a Mate, do you call it a Double-Mate?
