  jessicafischerqueen: <28.c4?>

the threat is actually <27.fxe5!>

Black has no adequate defence here.

If <27...fxe5?> Seemingly attacking White's queen--

Simply <28.Nf6+!> and if the King moves then <29.Nxd7!> Winning the exchange.

If Black tries <27...Nxf6> he still loses the exchange after <28.Nxf6+> because this forks the Queen and King. So Black recaputures with his rook <28...Rxf6> and his Rook is now hanging, AGAIN losing the exchange.

jessicafischerqueen: Sorry that analysis is unclear--

OK this should be clearer:

After <27.Nd5!> now <27...Rf7> is forced.

Now, the threat is <28.fxe5!>.

If <28...fxe5?> then <29.Nf6+> winning the exchange by force,

If <28...Nxe5> then <29.Nxf6+> also winning the exhange by force.

Sorry about that!!

If I'm going to correct someone's analysis I should at least get the move numbers correct and be clearer about the position.
