Aug-30-04  TheGreatNN: Where's the win?
Aug-30-04  clocked: The queen attacks two pieces
Sep-01-04  iron maiden: White could also have used the fork if Black had played 7...Nb5, with 8. Qd4. 6...Nd4?? is a big blunder, especially for a correspondence game (although, it should be noted, 6...Na5?? 7. Qd4 followed by 8. a3 would have been just as bad).
Sep-02-04  sneaky pete: <iron mdiaen> Ao you hdve aifficulties, like me, aistinguishing between a dna d?
Sep-02-04  iron maiden: LOL, I meant 8. Qa4 instead of Qd4.
Sep-02-04  iron maiden: It was late at night when I typed that, so forgive me.
Sep-16-04  TheGreatNN: Oops! Was late night when I typed that too.
Apr-14-07  whiteshark: At least, he should have tried 8... Nxe3

An Englishman: Good Evening, and Darn It! Over sixty years later, I won a game with the exact same first eight moves. I had always hoped that I had invented an opening trap, but perhaps there is nothing new under the sun.

White simply wins a piece with 9.fxe3

Oct-02-07  whiteshark: <syracrophy> But of course!

My suggestion was only a last try to swindle. :D

Jun-27-19  sea7kenp: That's why the Queen is worth so many points. Moving as a Bishop does, it diagonally attacks the Knight, while also threatening the Bishop, Straight on like a Rook.
