Dec-22-02  Bears092: doesn't Ne5 just drop a piece?
Dec-22-02  pawntificator: It certainly does, if black doesn't get greedy for the queen as is illustrated. I love it when I can pull this mate on an unsuspecting victim, but never with a knight on c6!

  Honza Cervenka: The knight on c6 must not be a problem: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 d6 3.Bc4 Bg4 4.Nc3 Nc6 5.h3 Bh5? 6.Nxe5! (+-) Nxe5 7.Qxh5 Nxc4 8.Qb5+ and 9.Qxc4.
Jan-03-03  pawntificator: Well, no, the c6 knight isn't a problem with the Bishop on h5. I guess I shouldn't have said NEVER.
Jul-16-05  Knight13: "6... Bxd1! WOW! A NICE QUEEN! I MUST TAKE! THAT Ne5 MOVE IS DARN STUPID!" --- A Howard.

6. Ne5?? is a blunder, if Black calculated out that ... Bxd1 is bad and that Bxf7+ is threatened with Mate.

Mar-20-06  McCool: This play never seems to work against my opponents. They don't fall for it.
Dec-27-08  WhiteRook48: Ham ate howard. LOL
Oct-17-10  chesschampion11: This is legalīs mate!! but in the vienna game!
