Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-05-04  Knight13: 11. Kf2? why would MacDonnell do that? That made the White king dangerous from the rest of the game. The two white's A and B pawn at the end was important, but Mahe took it(sad). Nice fight for MacDonnell.
Jul-18-05  Leviathan: This game is almost identical to MacDonnell vs La Bourdonnais, 1834
Oct-08-05  Chess Champ: Name similar to
labourdonnais vs mcdonald !
Jan-05-06  dakgootje: Could make a nice GOTD...
Mar-14-07  ChessDude33: <Knight13> Any other move besides Kf2 loses the d-pawn(I am not counting Ke2=P).
Aug-07-09  just a kid: After 8.d4 the position is similar to the advance french.
Feb-02-12  Knight13: <33. Rhh1: Here, again, we are at a loss to understand how White could be guilty of such a glaring mistake. Had he played instead, 33.Rh4, the game must have been won without any trouble.> Must have been played quickly, expecting Black to take on f1.
