Dec-06-03  talchess2003: Wow... Great game by Tatiana. Also, to note, her opponent's rating must have been inflated...
Dec-06-03  Catfriend: Indeed, it's a very active-styled game. It seemes white's attack would stamp Kosintseva to the ground, but then came some great counter-blows such as 24..R:h4!!, black gained the iniative, and took it to the end-game, finishing it all with the elegant 37..R:Ne5!!.

technical draw: Tatiana Kosintseva. It seems like my dear Judit Polgar is going to have some real female competition soon.

Are you basing that on just this game?

If so, I think you're jumping to a rather large conclusion.

White may have had a bad game.

Dec-07-03  shadowmaster: Yes, I wouldn't underestimate Almira. Also, she seems like a nice lady. She plays blitz on ICC sometimes under the name "Birdienumnum". She's married to Joel Lautier and they are the principal founders of the new chessplayers union. I wish them luck with it.
