  kevin86: An old gimmick was to castle on the queen side and then marshal a kingside attack;this game does the reverse. There are those who shy away from queenside castling for that reason.

  Benzol: 25...Rd7 was a very unfortunate move, allowing 26.Rc3 so that Black has to give up his queen and then he has to play 28...Rd4 to avoid the mate on a7.

  GrahamClayton: 9.♗d3 was first played by Purdy in OTB chess in the early 1930's. The move attempts to restrain Black's centre. The drawback is the blocking of the d-pawn.
