Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-12-04  InspiredByMorphy: 8.Nd5 and 9.Nxb6! what a great combination.
Oct-12-04  Jesuitic Calvinist: Yes, all very nice. I love the way Greco manages to save the bishop at the very end.
Jan-31-05  Jaymthegenius: why not 8...cxd5, that would be best.
Jan-31-05  jesterco12: Because after 8...cxd5 9. Bxd5, black has no way of saving the a8 rook.
Feb-17-05  InspiredByMorphy: If 3. ...Bg4 was going to be played 4. ...Bh5 should have been played.
Oct-20-05  DeepBlade: Greco got Black's Queen, and saved his Bishop. A real ''payback''.

And if you look at the position after the Bishop takes Queen, its remarable that black has 4 pawns left! Athough it gives Black a lot of space for his Rooks, but a +3 pawn lead for White means a win I guess.

Oct-20-05  AlexanderMorphy: great combination my greco!
Nov-23-05  Chopin: This is one of my favorite games by Greco. A beautiful combination.
Dec-12-05  DeepBlade: Even a pawn can save a Queen. (recapture in this case)
Sep-30-07  wolfmaster: A "discovered" defense!
Jan-28-08  wolfmaster: Very nice composition.
Apr-25-10  David N. Bibb: Cool headed moves. 8.Nd5!....9.Nxb6 What??? Then the beautiful combo at the end. Superb.
Feb-07-13  RPdigital: Just beautiful! Greco is my favorite. In this game he just messed black defense up so much, while own defense is good.
Feb-26-15  gemars: too brilliant game. itīs composed IMO.
