Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-08-05  InspiredByMorphy: 4. ...Bc5 ruined blacks game early. 4. ...g5 is better. Opening Explorer
Feb-08-05  Backward Development: yup. Even Anderssen gets the worst of it from that position Harrwitz vs Adolf Anderssen, 1848
Oct-20-05  DeepBlade: Greco's mating attack is so great, he just operates on squares which the Black pieces cant affect.

A weird smothered mate at an unusual location (at the right side of the board). Greco proves that he is creative.

Apr-11-11  squaresquat: Inspired by Morphy is right; 4...Bc5 is a mate threat and seems natural after 3...Qh5+. But black has no positional basis to sustained an attack. This is what Steinitz would teach. Black can't hope to successfully attack worthy opponents with an undeveloped Queenside.
Apr-11-11  Shams: Most Black players don't check on h4. After ...g5!? White's plan of Nc3 (protecting e4) intending the pawn sacrifice g2-g3 (played before moving the king knight) is dangerous.
Dec-15-14  mwansachib: Great-smotherd-mate-hav-ever-seing..
