Nov-28-04  kostich in time: This game shows just how strong Kupchick was in the twenties...it is ashame he only played abroad twice (Havana 1913 and Warsaw 1935)

Jonathan Sarfati: White finally saw 15.cxd5. Black's reply was best, because his 2♗ v 2♘ was just about adequate compensation for the P. If Black had played the obvious 15...exd5, he would have lost a ♙ less favourably with 16.♘xd5! ♕a5+ (16...cxd5 17.♗c7 ♗b4+ 18.axb4 ♕e7 19.b5)
17.♘c3.
