Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-21-04  Helloween: Bad idea by Heine to let Kasparov play the Shirov/Shabalov Attack on him.
Mar-21-04  justy: Heines bishops look terrible around the time of Kaspy's combination. What should he've done instead og 18...e5??
Mar-21-04  ruylopez900: 18...Rhe8 seems reasonable...thoughts?
Mar-21-04  Bitzovich: 19 ...e5 was not the main blunder, but 20 ... Bxe5 was. Qxe5 might have just held, IMO
Mar-23-04  justy: well, Bitzovich, you're right. it does save the rook. Then, I guess, the open g file allowing entrance on the 7th will decide the game... or?
May-29-05  OneArmedScissor: can you say, "owned"?
May-29-05  THE pawn: Well, everyone gets owned against Kasparov...*sight* why did he stop playing chess. I hope he will come back someday, fresh and recovered from a long period of chess.
Dec-18-06  Scarecrow: Hungarian GM Gabor Kallai mentioned this game recently in a chess column and wrote that after 18...dxc4 19. Qxc4 e5! the position would have been somewhat equal.
