Jan-10-06  morpstau: old lowenthal goes pawn grabbing and gets his rook snatched, another morphy triump.
Feb-19-06  Lupechmand: I think old L÷wenthal feared losing the queen more: 34. ...Qh6 35. Rh8+ Kxh8 36. Qxh6+
Nov-02-06  tonsillolith: Wow Morphy made excellent use of his knight.
Nov-03-06  tonsillolith: Actually he might have made even better use of his major pieces at the end.

naresb: I think instead of 19... Nf8, had Black gone for 19... Bf8, he could have sound defence. The Bishop rather than Knight act good in such defence system.

P. Morphy rightly followed with 20. Bg3 and Black to further worsen his position replied with 20... BxBg3.

21. fxBg3 enabled Queen-Rook combination along 'f' file.

Apr-19-16  talhal20: In this game Morphy takes initiative all the time while JL keep defending which doesn't payo
